Michael Daugherty’s rollicking Route 66 sends us off to experience the movie-inspired fireworks of Korngold’s violin Concerto with American Violinist William Hagen. Barber’s famous Adagio for Strings provides a brief respite, and our journey concludes with his majestic and intensely passionate First Symphony.
