In this exciting interactive show, co-commissioned by the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, Doktor Kaboom will explore the fundamentals of electrical energy and the history of humanity’s adventures into its potential through the work of scientific pioneers such as Tesla, Edison, and Faraday.  At the dawn of the 19th century, mankind first harnessed the power of electricity; the world changed and the journey still continues.  Topics covered will include lightning bolts, electrical arcs, light emission, sparks, resistance, current and voltage, conductive and non-conductive media, magnetic fields, electric generators, electromagnetic coils, and the conversion mechanical energy to electrical energy, all while emphasizing the importance of safety.
