Mariachi Sol De México de José Hernández

Mariachi master Jose Hernandez and his Sol de Mexico musicians have a history as rich and colorful as mariachi music itself. The thirteen-member ensemble is among the finest to be found in both Mexico and the United States, combining refined vocal power and superb musicianship. No one else in the mariachi music scene navigates traditional Mexican folk, classical, and pop music with such grace.

Ordering Information

Call the Sangamon Auditorium Ticket Office at 217.206.6160 or 800.207.6960 to reserve your estimated number of tickets with no deposit. The best seats available will be reserved for your group. A teacher, administrator, school group sponsor, or faculty advisor must make the reservation and attend with the group. Two weeks before the performance, you must confirm your final number, and payment must be received, or your seats will be released.

All sales are final. We are not able to give refunds or exchanges. The ClassPass price is not valid on previous purchases, and no additional discounts apply.

Recommended Grade Levels: We recommend grade levels based on information provided by the performance company. Teachers at other grade levels should use discretion when considering bringing their students. If you have any questions about the content, please contact Amy Zepp at 217.206.6150 or azepp2@uis.edu.

Accessibility Services: When placing your order, please inform the Ticket Office if anyone in your group needs accessibility services. Students with mobility, visual, or hearing impairments will be seated with their escort in the appropriate seating area, which may be separate from the rest of the group. Please request accessibility services two weeks or more before a performance. If advance notice has not been arranged, every reasonable effort will be made to accommodate your group based on remaining available seating upon your arrival. Accessibility services may not be available for every performance. Services are not arranged until requested and are contingent on the availability of the service providers.
